Washer and Dryer Removal Checklist

Identify both machines

Record whether each unit is top load or front load, gas or electric, stacked or side by side. Include pedestals and storage drawers in the item count.

Settle the connections

Water hoses, drain lines, power cords, vents, and gas connections need an agreed safe plan. A qualified person should handle any connection outside the hauler’s confirmed scope.

Plan for retained water

A washer can hold water in hoses, filters, or the pump. Ask how the unit should be drained and when it should be disconnected so flooring and hallways are protected.

Map the laundry-room exit

Measure the machines, doorway, hall turns, and stairs. Tell the provider about stacked installations, closet doors, removable shelves, and a long carry to parking.
